14 YEAR OLD BOY KILLED AFTER FRANCE VS MORROCO

On Wednesday 14 December, the french national team faced the Morocco national team in auch anticipated world cup fixture to determine who will go to the final of this year's Qatar world cup. Argentina had already qualified earlier beating Croatia to earn the spot.
When the match ended France had won the game by two goals to nil. The defeat of Morocco was disappointing for all Africans as they wanted to be the first African national team to reach the world cup finals. The France national team on the other hand were really happy for making it to their second consecutive world cup final.
The celebration by the French continued back home all night. But tragedy struck druning the celebrations.
According to the BBC, a 14 year old boy was hit by a car during the celebrations shortly after the match.
The BBC report said,"Images on social media showed a car draped in a French tricolor surrounded by people who then grabbed the flag. The driver then appeared to panic, accelerating into two teenagers.

As he turned his car around and sped off, the 14- year-old was hit and went into cardiac arrest."
Speaking to the BBC, the local MP said,""Immense sadness that a sporting event should end in total tragedy," expressing his sorrow to the boys family.
The police said the care was later discovered not far from the incident area and they have began a man hunt for the driver of the vehicle.
Mayor Michaël Delafosse said everyone was appalled and in shock at "this terrible tragedy", and wished that perpetrators of "this cowardly act" be brought to justice.
Local MP Patrick Vignal said the driver had to be arrested and dealt with severely.
Tensions between France and Morocco supporters briefly got out of hand in the center of the city as flares were lit and police retaliated with tear gas. France has a large Moroccan community of about some 1.5 million people.
The world cup victory celebrations in cities across France were mostly peaceful, although police used tear gas to stop trouble involving far-right youths in the center of Lyon.
As tensions grew, ten thousand police were deployed across the country and a reported 167 arrests were reportedly made across the country.
People have expressed their sympathy to the boy's family across the various social media platforms.
