Due to Korean Netflix series Squid Game, dalgona sweets is making a comeback. A group of people engage in a set of six games in this series. The popular "Red Light, Green Light" game is also featured in the program!
The dalgona candy recipe is, in theory, fairly simple. Only two components are required: sugar and baking soda. First, you caramelize the sugar.
It was a game in which players must separate the cookie's shape from the cookie. The treat is a honeycomb cookie also known as a Dalgona cookie. This sweet is a well-known Korean street snack; it is essentially a caramelized lollipop and requires only 2 ingredients.
They must swiftly remove a shape from the fragile bite, such as a circle, star, or umbrella, without really breaking the shape. Anyone who breaks the shape is eliminated. The situation is really distressing.
Ingredients

Method
1. Add the sugar to a nonstick pan that has been heated. Then, continue stirring while allowing the sugar to melt and turn caramelized.
2. After the sugar has caramelized, reduce the heat, add the baking soda, and mix until the mixture is entirely liquid and has a caramel coffee color. You'll need a thick slurry that can be poured.
3. Now, spread a circle of the sugar mixture on a baking sheet then gently press it down. Place the different design in the center of it when it has cooled but is still soft. To create the form in the biscuit, lightly press it. Don't press down too hard otherwise the dalgona candy may break or worsen to crack.
4. Let the squid game cookie harden after you have finished making it. Afterwards when, you can carve off the shape in the center using a needle. Even if you shatter it, nothing bad will happen like it did in the show, maybe just a broken sweet.
COOKING TIPS
1. Prepare all of your equipment and ingredients before beginning the recipe.
A metal soup spoon and a wooden chopstick are recommended. Alternatively, a small pan and a wooden spoon can be used.
2. Baking powder will not work in this recipe. However, you can use any type of sugar. Granulated sugar is what we use.
Creating dalgona candy is similar to making pancakes in that the first attempt almost always fails. The melting point and the effect of baking soda with caramel are most likely very precise science.
In actuality, the Squid Game cookie isn't even a cookie. The Dalgona Sweet that is so well-known is actually a Korean sugary sponge candy.
